Description

Lake Greenwood State Recreation Area, located on a series of peninsulas on 11,400-acre Lake Greenwood offers great fishing for bass, crappie, bream, perch, catfish, stripers. Three boat ramps allow access to the lake.

Camping is available with 125 paved sites, some of which can handle RV’s up to 40 feet.

Hiking the short nature trail, picnicking, educational programs, company meetings, family reunions, and even weddings are all popular. Directions

From I-26: Take exit 74 to Hwy 34 towards Newberry. Stay on Hwy 34 for 25 mi. Turn rt. onto Hwy 702 for 2 mi.The park entrance is on the right.

From Greenwood: Take Hwy 72 for approximately 6 mi., turn right onto Hwy 246. Travel approximately 5 mi. and turn left onto Hwy 702, the park is located 7 mi. on the left.

All sites are paved and have water and electric hookups. Some sites can handle RV's up to 40 feet. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring and are convenient to restrooms with hot showers.

Group camping is available for up to 50 people.
