Description
A beautiful campground in Maine, right outside of Bath. Caters only to tenters, providing them with many activities to keep them occupied. Some of these include swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking. There are seven white sand beaches on the island including one that you have to hike to reach. For fishing and boating, the island rents out boats at their private marina which you can take out and fish for bass or cod. Finally, the island has many hiking trails including one that goes right alongside the ocean. A camp store provides groceries, fresh seafood, and firewood while the gift shop sell many postcards and t-shirts. The Kelp Shed is the main service center for the island. Here you can check-in to the island, checkout the activities list, grab a bite at the snack bar, or play in the game room. The restrooms are located throughout the island and each site has a fire pit, parking space, and picnic table. Overall, Hermit Island is any camper’s paradise.Activities
