Description
This camp is set in a stand of trees close to the creek with a beautiful meadow off to the west. You can glimpse the snow covered peaks from camp. There are trailheads up the road as well as some very nice dispersed sites. This is a very beautiful area and not too far from town. Tents and sm. trailers..I found this campground in the book, Rays Guides, Free Campgrounds in Idaho.Directions
From Ketchum, travel north on Highway 75 for about 14.5 miles and take a left onto the Baker Creek Road, Forest Service Road 162. Follow this road and in 1.4 miles you want to bear left at the “Yâ€Â. Then shortly you’ll cross over the Newman Creek Bridge and you want to stay to the left. Continue on for another 1.5 miles and arrive at the camp on the right.Activities
