Description
This camp is set at almost 8000 feet in forest with creeks and a small lake as backdrops. The whole area is just beautiful. There are many trailheads in the area but I wouldn’t plan on getting here before July most years. There are 4 campsites with toilet, tables and fire grates. The Trinity Lakes are a popular hiking and camping destination in the Rainbow Basin area of the Boise National Forest. At 8500 feet, the basin has steep walls and rocky ridges. Bring your camera! Directions
From Mountain Home, travel east on Highway 20 towards the town of Fairfield for about 20 miles and take a left onto the Fall Creek Road towards Anderson Reservoir. Follow this road and in about 3.2 miles the pavement ends. Keep going and in .7 miles you’ll come to the dam and you want to bear left and travel over the dam. Once on the other side, you want to take a right. Continue on for another 8.8 you’ll come to a “Y†with Lake Creek Road and Fall Creek Road and you want to bear left onto the Fall Creek Road. Continue on for another 4.5 miles and come to a junction with Fall Creek, Meadow Creek and Lester Creek Roads and you want to bear left staying on Fall Creek Road. Keep going and in about 1.8 miles you want to take a right onto the Trinity Ridge Road, this is Forest Service Road 129. Continue following this road for about 8.5 miles to the site.Activities
