We both took a day off in the week and decided to stay at Loon Lake Lodge. We stayed in the motel (her idea), rather than camping but we spent the days fishing and kayak-ing. Everything was pleasant and the room was very nice. My favorite part was definitely renting the wave runners. Her favorite part was probably the restaurant. Next time (hopefully soon!), we're definitely going to visit the nearby Oregon Dunes and check out all the fun stuff to do there. Other than that, this is a great getaway and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the city.

Located just seconds away from the campsites were very clean restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms. The convienence and cleanliness of the facilities definately convinced me to go back again. Great tenting experience!

The old loggig trails/roads are maintained and the views atop the 800 foot mountains that surrond the lake are AWESOME! Bring your camera.

(4 out of 4 members found this review useful.) Reply to ReviewWe stayed at Loon Lake with my husband and three children. The rv area is set above the marina with views of the lake and has gravel roads. The kids hung out at the beach and played in the sand with their toys. The best fun we had as a family was taking out the jet skis and waverunners! The canoes and kayaks were fun to take out but you can’t beat the excitement of whizzing down the lake with a jet ski or waverunner at 40-50mph! Loon Lake is a beautiful, scenic lake set among towering Douglas pine trees and is one of Oregon’s best kept secrets. The bathrooms and laundry areas were clean. Loon Lake Lodge had a small store where you could buy basic foods, snacks, and beer. The staff was helpful with getting us set up on the jet ski and boat rentals.
