Description

Boles Field is located on the northern Sabine National Forest, about 8 miles east of Shelbyville, Texas. The area centers around a cemetery for fox hounds established at the turn of the century Boles field offers camping with electric hookups and picnicking. The area is open all year. No reservation is needed and there is a self service fee station at the entrance.

Follow Highway 87 south from Center for 4 miles; turn left (east) on FM 2694 for 8 miles to entrance.

Whether in an RV or tent camping, visitors have 20 campsites with electric hookups to choose from. Drinking water, toilet facilities, and hot showers are available within a short distance of each site.

$6.00 per campsite per night (includes day-use fee for one vehicle).
