Just outside Asheville (literally 20 minutes,) this is a surprisingly nice campground. The campsites are medium sized and fairly private, bathrooms ample, but sometimes wet. Very nice setting with small swimming and fishing lake, beautiful mountain views and lots and lots of trails along a sweet little creek. Gets a lot of day use from hikers and bikers, but in spite of that is still clean and quiet. Not much programming or service from the many campground hosts who mainly seem to chat by the front gate. So close to stores and shopping, you can get Chinese or Mexican take-out for dinner, and we did. Great if you want to visit Asheville and just minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
