(6 out of 6 members found this review useful.)The directions given in the basic description is for a campground on Fontana Lake. The Cheoah Point Recreation Family Area I stayed at in April'07 was about 7 miles north of Robbinsville, NC on Highway 129. A beautifully maintenanced place with tent sites ($15), camper sites with full hook-ups ($20), and furnished cabins ($35) it has 10-star restrooms/ showers. Seniors with passes get 1/2 price. The lake has over 25 primitive campsites and several marinas (including a free boat ramp and sandy beach).

(5 out of 5 members found this review useful.)This campground is great! We stayed during the October 2006 race week. The employees were so helpful and polite. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will return next year!
