I work at San-Lee. The campground is great because it is always cooler up there on the hill than it is down at the Nature Center in the summer. There are ten, drive-to sights to choose from. The fee is $10 a night. Please note that the wilderness campground no longer exists because there are houses in close proximity and many trees have fallen on it due to storms. The MTB course is also one of the best around. It is approximately 6.2 miles long with the addition of the Gauntlet and Free Fall, two rock garden technical sections which are among the best in the state. Paddle boats are also available to rent, but we no longer rent out canoes. The price is $3. There is also fishing. A valid North Carolina fishing license is required to fish.

My family really enjoy all that San-Lee has to offer campers, fishers, hikers, etc. Something for everyone to do and then some. Thanks so much to all who work at San-Lee, we look forward to our next trip.
