Description

26 sites for tent and small trailer use. Located on the Platte River near the Platte River Hatchery. Excellent canoeing and trout fishing. Rustic campground includes vault toilets and potable water from well hand pump. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations. Check with State Forest Campground Manager for seasonal availability.

excellent campground!! Trails to lake michigan. Quite for the most part. Within walking distance to the canoe and tube rental for a lazy, fun packed float down the river to lake michigan. Make reservations, this place fills up fast!

July 9th 2009. Nice location. Great place for river sports. Excellent workout hiking trails near by, check out platte springs trail for a close to camp exploration. Close to sleeping Bear dunes and the new Sleeping Bear boat cruise,we went on the sunset cruise.Very nice.

The price of the Campsites was $15 per Night. worth every penny.
