Mosquito Lake State Park

My family and I visited Mosquito Lake in the summer of 2005. When we first got there, airplanes flew overhead like swarms of bees around our heads. I had no idea what was going on. Finally, a guy from a campsite across from us came over and explained that it was manuvers day at the nearby Air Force Base and all would be quiet the next day. This park is scenic, the campsites are well shaded & there is an abundance of hiking trails. My only two complaints with the place are - 1. People drove too damn fast through the campground. SLOW DOWN !! What's your hurry. 2. People who use this park are SLOBS !! There was litter thrown everywhere. I did what I could to pick some of it up. It is my understanding that new restrooms/showerhouses that are identical to the ones at West Branch have been built since our visit. I can not confirm if that is true or not, though. I am considering returning to this park for a visit in 2009.
