Description

9 sites for tent and small trailer use located on the beautiful Pine River and Silver Creek. Good opportunities for canoeing and fishing. Pathway access for hiking and mountain biking. Rustic campground includes vault toilets and potable water from well hand pump. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations. Check with State Forest Campground Manager for seasonal availability.

This is a sweet little campground, on the Pine River and Silver Creek. It offers a great canoeing opportunity, and Silver Creek State Forest Campground is just a couple miles away if, for some reason, Lincoln is full. Sites are really well-spread out from each other.
If you wish to canoe on the Pine River you need a permit. This is a designated Wild and Scenic Waterway. You need a watercraft permit, and there are special regulations which apply. Private watercraft permits may be reserved by calling 1-231-723-2211. $15.00 per night.
