(0 out of 0 members found this review useful.)We just spent the most wonderful weekend camping in our RV. The place is so beautiful, clean and quiet with great playgrounds for the kids. We can't wait to return in the summer and go to the water park.

(2 out of 2 members found this review useful.)I got together with my family the weekend of August 7-9th and we decided to spend some quality time together since my sister just got diagnosed with cancer. We figured camping would be enjoyable for all; adults and kids. Since Lake Casitas is not that bad of a drive (2hrs) we were excited and really wanted to enjoy our time there with the hope to return soon. Needless to say that will not be happening. We were assigned to section "I" in between two large groups. We didn't care too much about the groups’ late nights, but other campers did so the Park Rangers kept coming over threatening to evict us if we didn't keep the noise level down. I was so angry because while my family looked like a group with the 20 of us including kids, we were by far the smallest group there and were not the ones causing the disturbance. Still, you are outdoors, camping in tents, what do you expect? If one wants peace and quiet by 10pm, go to a Spa resort or to the mountains and stay in a cabin or camp in a motor home with double pain windows and stay inside. It was ridiculous and made it difficult to enjoy the nights out with the bon fire because we felt like we had to whisper. Also, if you eat, the moment you take your food out, you will be attacked by the bees (hornets). They are everywhere and they know it's a problem but don't care. Lastly, the bathrooms are old and filthy. They are portables. The only real bathrooms are in the showers but there are only two shower locations in the entire lake.

(4 out of 4 members found this review useful.)I really wanted to like these campgrounds. The activities are wonderful for kids and it's not too far of a drive. BUT!!! And it's a big BUT...the bathrooms are FILTHY!! Filthy! Plus the hornets will hound you any time you try to cook anything. Sure, you can purchase $15 hornet traps...but why should you have to? They know there is a problem with the hornets...fix it! For our campsite fee...we shouldn't be attacked by hornets.
Horrible, horrible experience here.
