Description
Set in the midst of the Nantahala National Forest, this scenic mountain lake has more than 163 miles of shoreline and 6,090 surface acres. The lake is located near Murphy, North Carolina, and is accessible from U.S. Highway 64. Bass, walleye, bluegill, sunfish, and crappie inhabit the waters of Hiwassee Lake.Directions
From Chattanooga, go north on 1-75 take exit 20, Highway 64 East.Follow 64E to Ducktown, take Highway 68 North then go right on 294 to Hiwassee Dam.Activities
