The goals of the NFH are to provide statutory mitigation fish (rainbow trout and brook trout) for Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as providing environmental education and outreach. The hatchery receives over 100,000 visitors annually and provides an opportunity for the public to go Trout fishing in the Little Red River adjacent to hatchery grounds. The visitor center also has an aquarium. Visiting Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm Daily (closed on Christmas). Visitors should arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time to allow enough time to tour.
