Description
The Green Mountains are not just rich in the forests and sage grasslands that gives them their name-- the surrounding area is rich in minerals. A visitor to the area can see the evidence of years of mining on the area, but the views are still lovely, and wildlife watchers can often view the large herd of wild horses that lives here. Wild Horse Point is a developed overlook picnic area for watching for the mustangs and for enjoying the spectacular vistas of the area.Directions
From Jeffrey City, go east 6.3 miles to Green Mountain Road. Go right, and follow it about 10.5 miles south to the campground.Activities
