One thing that is important to some folks that other reviewers neglected... these toilets are VAULT toilets. Now, that being said, they are kept very clean. We found that putting a candle in an empty bean or tomato can in the bathroom at night is very helpful since there is no electric lighting. We have camped here with toddlers to teenagers and all have enjoyed it.

A correction to the previous reviewer...the campground is alongside the Siuslaw River near where Clay Creek Flows into the river. According to a BLM employee we talked to, the wooden dam is removed late in the year to allow a free flowing river during the Winter and Spring, and placed after the stream levels recede to facilitate swimming and boating. There is a small sandy beach for relaxing and swimming. Two large group shelters for large gatherings are available. Trails in the campgrounds are either paved or graveled and the campground is well kept.

This is a first-come-first-serve campground but it's worth it. Though not a large campground, it is nestled among many trees and shrubs offering lots of privacy for each site. There are small sites as well as large ones for larger groups. Clay Creek runs along side the campground and offers crawdading. The creek has a small dam across it creating a fabulous swimming hole with a small sandy "beach" access. There are two covered picnic areas with a field for whatever. Overall, this a great campground.
