Description

A 61-unit wooded, semi-primitive campground centrally located on a ridgetop between the Cranberry and Williams Rivers.

Directions

From Richwood travel east on State Route 39/55 to Forest Road 76 for 6 miles north to Forest Road 81. Follow Forest Road 81 for 6 miles to Forest Road 101.From Dyer, go east on State Route 46 to Forest Road 101. Follow Forest Road 101 3 miles to the campground.

Activities

Trout fishing in nearby Cranberry and Williams Rivers. A valid West Virginia State Fishing License is required, along with a National Forest stamp and a trout stamp. Please contact the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources for more information on fishing and hunting licensing requirements.Hiking and mountain biking is available on nearby trails: Bishop Knob Trail, Cranberry Ridge Trail, and Adkins Rockhouse Trail.

Services

There are two loops with 49 single campsites and 6 double sites. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring and lantern post with a gravel parking spur and an activity area. There is one handpump in each loop. There are 4 non-accessible vault toilet buildings.

Sites are on a first come, first served basis.

Fees

Sites are $8.00 per night.
