I have owned this stove for more than 15 years. I have never really cleaned it or done any sort of maintenance on it. Yet it has never failed to do the job I require. Nothing is more reliable. It is not as fancy as some of the newer stoves. And it is hard to run the burner on anything but full throttle. But it will boil water just as fast as any other burner out there and can run off just about any volatile liquid. If I need to be Emeril with this stove, I just use a heat dissipater. I like this stove at basecamp or on extended trips with a large group. Extended trips with a small group I opt for a UL stove. In my opinion this is the best “first stove” that is on the market.Reviewed by MountainMan on October 7, 2008
Great little camping stove, perfect for backpacking (though I wouldn't take it car camping). Super light weight plus it burns all types of fuel so you'll always have options no matter what part of the world you find yourself in. Note: you'll need to purchase a separate fuel canister as this does not include one. At least this way you get to choose your fuel bottle size!Latest from the blog
