Kelty Zephyr 0 Degree Long Sleeping Bag
Category: Sleeping Bags
The Kelty Zephyr 0 Degree Long is a down filled cold weather sleeping bag with a water resistant shell. The Zephyr is filled with 650 down. Down not only has a soft, comfortable feel, it has the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The feathers and fibers are known for their efficiency in trapping body heat and are very easily compressed, taking up less space in your pack. The one downfall to this insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet. Here's where Kelty's water resistant shell really shines. While the shell is not fully waterproof, the water resistance helps keep moisture away from the down insulation in most situations. The Zephyr features a baffle collar around the neck area and a draft tube along the length of the full-length zipper to keep out cold drafts. On the outside, there's security loops to attach the Zephyr to your sleeping pad, and inside the Zephyr has liner loops for attaching an optional Kelty sleeping bag liner. For convenience, the Zephyr features Kelty's FatMan and Ribbon drawcords, where one cord is rounded and fat, the other is flat, so you can adjust the top or lower sections of the hood by feel when it's dark outside. The Zephyr comes with a nylon oxford stuff sack and a cotton storage sack. Long size fits to 6' 6"".
