Sierra Designs Light Year 1 Tent - 1 Person 3 Season
Category: Tents
MSRP: $148
If you pine for the minimal bulk of a bivy sack, but hate the claustrophobic greenhouse feeling of actually sleeping in one, the Sierra Designs Light Year 1 Tent is your salvation. Like a bivy sack, the Light Year 1 is minimal in weight and packs down as small as possible. Very much unlike a bivy sack, the Light Year 1 has a ton of room (for one person), and uses twin Featherlite poles to suspend itself above you instead of clinging to your sleeping bag. It also has a vestibule for your gear and shoes, so you can stow your stuff out of the rain. Is it any wonder that this solo shelter is a go-to for fast-moving solo hikers, bike touristes, and dedicated climbers?
